It’s been a busy few months in the lead up to the Oct. 12 event and online auction, coupled with José’s recent health scare and related behind-the-scenes imperatives on the home front. Consequently, we’ve been remiss in sharing that the 2024 Hawai‘i Walk & Roll to Cure ALS hosted by the ALS Network is less than a week away.
It’s not too late to participate!
Online registration is open until Friday, Nov. 8 at 10:00p.m., but you can sign-up on-site the morning of the event. If you’d like to walk (or make a contribution) as an official member of #TeamJosé, be sure to register via our team page.

While we won’t be able to join in person this year, we thoroughly enjoyed our first walk back in 2022 when José was honored with the Hero Award.
Event details
Download the event day guide here or by clicking either image below. Proceeds from the walk provide funding for the vital mission priorities of ALS Network (formerly ALS Golden West).
We have benefitted from the efforts of the organization in many ways over the past five years—from helping us connect with available support resources and advocacy on our behalf with providers, to receiving equipment from its loan closet.
Looking ahead
While we won’t be there in person this year, we’ll definitely be there in spirit and invite those who walk as part of #TeamJosé to share your photos with us! In future years we’ll do a better job of organizing in advance and using the event as a chance for members of #TeamJosé to gather and celebrate in person.
In the meantime, stay tuned for our next update which will feature a belated recap of the Oct. 12 event and online auction–including photos, videos, and more!
