Yesterday, on Memorial Day, the annual Shinnyo Lantern Floating Ceremony took place less than a half a mile from our home and it included a beautiful tribute to José which you can view in the video included here (beginning at approximately the 34:30-minute mark).
Thank you to everyone who messaged me, sent photos and videos, and remembered José on your lanterns; to Nā Lei Aloha Foundation for inviting us to share part of our story; and especially to Abby for standing in for me because I was sick and unable to participate as planned.
